Richard Davies - PGA Professional

Introduction

After taking up golf at the tender age of 6, my passion for the game has never dwindled.

I have played at many excellent levels of golf throughout my life, including some notable amateur achievements of County U16 Captain, County U18 Captain, England U18 Squad, U18 County Strokeplay Champion 2 years running, right through to representing the County 1st Team for two seasons during my amateur career before turning professional at the age of 18.

Throughout my professional career I have won numerous individual and Pro-Am events within the Worcestershire PGA and Midland PGA region, not to mention finishing 18th in the PGA Assistants National Finals. I have also competed on various tours including the Euro Pro Tour and attended European Tour School.

I have held two course records with 63 at Bewdley Pines, 65 at Copt Heath and 60 in an unofficial competition at Aylesford Golf Club.

I worked for over ten years at Kings Norton Golf Club under Professional Kevin Hayward as an Assistant and then self employed teaching Professional, before moving to Vienna at Colony Golf Club in a purely teaching role taking the club scratch team to the national finals.

After returning back to the UK I took up a new role as Head Professional at North Worcestershire for just over 5 years, before taking up my current position as Head Professional of Fulford Heath Golf Club.

I have also been Secretary for the PGA in Worcestershire for the past 3 years and organise many events throughout the season for the professional golfers in Worcestershire.

As you can see, I have led a lifetime of golf at all levels from amateur right through to professional golf and my passion for improvement remains just as strong. I am keen to share that enthusiasm for the game with new and more experienced golfers and offer a full range of lessons.
